Raiders Win State!!!!
Last Wednesday evening the Raiders girls’ ultimate team won the state title over cross-town rival Northwest. The Raiders rushed out to a 6-2 lead in the first half before losing their senior captain Zina Hurd to a freak injury. Though momentarily flustered by the injury, the Raiders stepped up to the challenge, defended their lead, and went on to win by the final score of 10-7. The win is the 3rd state crown in the last 5 seasons for the Raiders. This weekend the Raiders will travel to Missouri to contend for the Western HS National Championship. The Raiders are seeking their 3rd national title.

Girls Ultimate in State semifinals too!!
Over the weekend the Raiders Ultimate team stormed into the Girls' State semifinals. Semifinals take place this Tuesday (April 29th) at 7:30pm on the Summit Soccer Fields. This weekend the second-seeded Raiders recorded four victories including an impressive win against third-seeded Seattle Academy by the score of 13-6 during pool play. The Raiders will face Lakeside Tuesday evening eager to earn a fifth straight State championship game appearance.

Boys Ultimate earns spot in State semifinals!!
Over the weekend the Raiders Ultimate team fought their way to the State semifinals. State semis take place Tuesday (April 29th) at 8pm at Loyal Heights. Entering the weekend the Raiders were seeded sixth, but broke seed with a tough, determined win over Monroe in the quarterfinals by the narrowest of margins (11-10). The Raiders will face a strong Bellevue squad with a spot in the Boys' State finals on the line.

Limited Raiders squad falls to Northwest in hard fought game
Though the Raiders were limited due to injuries and illness the remainder of the squad fought hard and lost a tough game to Northwest 10-8. Missing many players the girls showed that they had the skills to contend with one of the best ultimate teams in the nation. After the game it was clear the Raiders are excited about future rematches later in the season when the Raiders will be at full strength .

Raiders JV ultimate show heart under pressure
The Raiders face a tough opponent in King Co. ultimate. King Co has been dominate in early season action, but the Raiders didn't let an overwhelming deficit deflate their play at the end of this tough game. Down 12-0, the Raiders rallied and scored 4 consecutive goal before finally conceding defeat 13-4.

Northwest Varsity defeats JV Raiders in opener
The JV girls team faced a difficult task in taking on one of the best varsity squads in the nation in their opener. Though they fought hard in nasty conditions (rain, wind, and cold) the Raiders lost 15-0 in their opener. It was a difficult game, but the ability of the girls to move the disc verse such a good team points towards a bright future.
