HEAD COACH: Chris Panos Long Island, N.Y. native Chris Panos has been involved in lacrosse since childhood. Following a successful high school career at Sachem H.S., he earned a scholarship to NCAA Division I Hofstra University, where he majored in psychology. While at Hofstra, Panos twice earned East Team All-America honors, and his team qualified for the NCAA tournament twice. Following college (and an exclusively outdoor lacrosse career), Panos was drafted in the first round (fourth overall) of the 1997 National Lacrosse League (North America’s premier indoor lacrosse league) draft by the Boston Blazers. He appeared in two NLL games as a rookie, and to improve his indoor game, began spending summers playing in Canadian box lacrosse leagues. Over the course of nine seasons in the Western Lacrosse Association and Ontario Lacrosse Association, Panos tallied 263 goals and 252 assists and played for the Mann Cup (Canada’s National box lacrosse championship and North America’s oldest sporting trophy) six times, winning the championship three times. Panos’ Canadian box lacrosse experience helped advance his lacrosse career. During his 12-season stint in the NLL, Panos has scored 200 goals, 187 assists and appeared in three championship games, including a Champions Cup victory as a member of the Philadelphia Wings in 2001. He has also been selected to represent the USA in several international competitions, including the 2001 Heritage Cup (a victory over Team Canada) and the 2003 and 2007 World Indoor Lacrosse Championships, both times taking home bronze medals. Prior to relocating to the Seattle area to be closer to his daughter and experience the energy and excitement of lacrosse in the Pacific Northwest, Panos played two seasons with the Chicago Shamrox of the NLL and founded Advanced Lacrosse, a company that provides private lacrosse training for boys and girls ages 7-18, custom stick stringing, college recruiting and camps, clinics and events. More information can be found at Advanced Lacrosse website: www.advancedlacrosse.com.
